Renter CFE Bill Review

When you rent a property your will be paying a CFE that is in the property owner’s name.  The bill will have a history that will include the consumption of the previous renter(s).  Before renting a property you should confirm you are not taking on a sizable CFE bill based on the previous renters history.

You will need to obtain the front and back page of your latest CFE bill from the landlord.  We will analyze the property’s historical consumption, confirm tariffs are being applied correctly and advise you on the potential for application of the DAC penalty tariff (doméstico alto consumo).  We will provide you a 2 year billing forecast based on your history.

This services includes everything provided in the “Home Owner CFE Bill Review” together with a home visit.  For the home visit we will inventory major electricity consumption sources and make specific recommendations for managing your bill more effectively.

Solar Evaluation

If you are considering Solar, it is important to understand the optimal amount of solar panels to install.  If you are stuck on the DAC, you will want to install enough solar to get you safely away from the DAC.  On the DAC the economics of Solar are very good over $0.30 USD per kWh.  Below the DAC on the regular tariff (1C in Los Cabos) the economics are not as good at around $0.15 USD per kWh.  Installing solar to completely eliminate your consumption comes at a different payback.  We can help you determine the optimal amount of Solar to install.

Consumption Monitoring Equipment

Sometimes the best way to manage your CFE bill is to have monitoring equipment that shows you continuously how much electricity you are using.
